Katie and Kyle chose the Village at Northstar Lake Tahoe as the venue to bring their family and loved one together in celebration of their much anticipated union. You may remember their downtown Sacramento engagement session HERE. Katie and Kyle are the type of people that you just want to be around. Katie is by far one of the sweetest souls I’ve even met with Kyle rounding out their partnership with pure dude humor. Together they have that gentle love that honors respect, laughter, and memories. During the ceremony it became even more clear that Katie was the girl for Kyle when his personalized vows did not make it to the alter. Not a hint of agitation fell across Katie’s face as she and her sisters burst into laughter as their friend who married them busted out a copy. This evening was pure energy with a booming dance floor, boisterous groups of laughter around the bar, and breaks of warmth by the fire. They kept their bridal party intimate with Katie’s sister and Kyle’s brother standing in for them. I feel so dang lucky to be a part of unions such as these. Congratulations you too! Looking forward to watching you celebrate many, many anniversaries.

I first met Anna and Alex at their parent’s property for their engagement session found HERE. After our adventurous journey for engagement photos, I was even more excited to shoot their Kirkwood Hideaway wedding. I knew I already adored Anna and Alex but I had no idea I would also fell in love with this amazing venue. It took everything in me not to pitch a tent and stay a month, especially after driving up “Pucker Butt Hill”. Yes, that’s really the name of the steep, narrow road to reach the cabin. The venue owners and staff were so gracious and kind and the grounds were something out of a secret forest dream. Anna and Alex are both doctors as were many of their guests so needless to say, everyone felt more than safe tucked away from civilization. They also took this remote location opportunity to fill the mountains with boisterous laughter and heartfelt stories of love, friendship, and adventure. With Anna’s brother marrying them and close friends and family sharing hilarious and heartfelt words of wisdom, it was evident that these two are perfectly meant for each other. Words can’t describe how full and light my heart driving away from this event. It was one I won’t soon forget. Congratulations Anna and Alex! I look forward to following your next adventure in life as husband and wife.

Allie and Matt’s elegant Devine Ranch wedding in Aptos, Ca had the perfect combination of all things beautiful. As a lifetime quarter horse lover and rider, just being in the presence of this magical venue was enough to bring me to happy tears. It was as if Allie and Matt and all their family and guests walked on air, filling the foggy hills with their genuine and boisterous laughter. Allie and Matt started their day getting ready at the ranch and had their ceremony at Mission Santa Cruz where their faith and union was shared with their loved ones. The party kicked off in full swing back at Devine Ranch where the couple and their guests shared in the celebration. We got the opportunity to roam the grounds of this beautiful venue and Allie got to incorporate her love for horses in her wedding photos.
