When I got back to my computer, I was planning on deleting this set of images from the session. I LOVED the look on her face and texture and color or the garage door but the color cast on her skin, the setting sun on the other side of the building, and flyaway hair had my fingers hovering over the delete icon. Then I began to play. In a nutshell, I crop straightened the background, color corrected and smoothed her skin using curves with the color sample tool as well as painting with soft edge brush on low opacity, bumped up contrast and saturation, removed some flyaway hair on her face, and sharpened for web. Voila! Now, I love the shot! Note to self…don’t delete before you play.
