The Little Girl With a Curl~Clark Family Diaries

I decided to dedicate tonight’s post to my darling daughter who has turned into a top rated contestant for “America’s Most Active Baby”. The show has not gone live yet but when it does, place your bets on her for she will not let you down. In this post I am also paying homage to the inventor of the crib with its blessed containment bars and prison-like control. I can always count on it to give me an uninterrupted 3 minute shower or to edit 2 pictures without her hands banging on the keyboard resulting in subjects with 5 limbs. I can not believe my calm and quiet self has given birth to something so boisterous. Here’s a little nursery rhyme I thought of today that my mom used to recite to me:

There was a little girl who had a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead;
When she was good, she was very, very good,
And when she was bad she was horrid.

Good ol’ Mother Goose…always had a way with words. I’m replacing the word “horrid” in this rhyme with a much more fitting description of “torrid” which means emotionally charged and vigorously energetic. And look it rhymes too. Bonus! Without further adieu, a little capturing of our “everyday”. Torrid daughter meets cell block 9.

Look at her trying to chew her way through the restraints.

I call this one, “I like big thighs and I can not lie”!

Heaven help me. Thank goodness she’s cute.

  • So cute Jo! Kaydence and blu are two peas in a pod. Her latest is climbing everything. Yesterday I walked out for seconds and came back to find her standing in the middle of the dinning room table.

    Love the pix! Can’t wait to get together.ReplyCancel

  • Hehe this made me laugh 🙂 She’s adorable, behind “bars” and all.ReplyCancel
