Signs this baby is going to live an amazing life. Sex remains unknown until birth. Mom is a naturally loving, care giving nurse. Dad is a surfing, skating lawyer. His/her in utero nickname is “Gopher”. I will be an auntie. When two people you love to no end are ready to give birth to their first child, you sit by the phone waiting for the text or call that baby is on the way. My goal was to blog this session before Gopher makes his/her appearance and as of this moment, mission accomplished. Can not wait to meet this one!
In case you were wondering what was up with the title of this blog post and what the heck it may have to do with an adorable couple, their dog, and their future child…it’s very simple. Jeeves is the name of their first baby…the black and white rescue mutt that pretty much stole the show here. We met at the site of where they spent time together as a dating couple to document this new stage in their life. You may remember them from their SF wedding HERE. There is something so heartwarming and rad about watching a couple you adore grow a family. Sutro Baths and Sutro Heights in San Francisco is such a fabulous place to shoot! Enjoy the love and laughter shared between these three as they ride off into the sunset of parenthood.
I first met Anna and Alex at their parent’s property for their engagement session found HERE. After our adventurous journey for engagement photos, I was even more excited to shoot their Kirkwood Hideaway wedding. I knew I already adored Anna and Alex but I had no idea I would also fell in love with this amazing venue. It took everything in me not to pitch a tent and stay a month, especially after driving up “Pucker Butt Hill”. Yes, that’s really the name of the steep, narrow road to reach the cabin. The venue owners and staff were so gracious and kind and the grounds were something out of a secret forest dream. Anna and Alex are both doctors as were many of their guests so needless to say, everyone felt more than safe tucked away from civilization. They also took this remote location opportunity to fill the mountains with boisterous laughter and heartfelt stories of love, friendship, and adventure. With Anna’s brother marrying them and close friends and family sharing hilarious and heartfelt words of wisdom, it was evident that these two are perfectly meant for each other. Words can’t describe how full and light my heart driving away from this event. It was one I won’t soon forget. Congratulations Anna and Alex! I look forward to following your next adventure in life as husband and wife.
